Project Summary
Elevator Pitch

Concise Summary: Help us pitch this solution! Provide an explanation within 3-4 short sentences.

How do you make a bright future? You don't,you build bright minds to make it!
SoS does that, through fun educative programs!
精品国产福利在线视频 Sos teaches soft skills and exposes youth and students to opportunities that will help them become a better version of themselves and make the World a better place.

WHAT IF - Inspiration: Write one sentence that describes a way that your project dares to ask, "WHAT IF?"

What if all youth had a clear vision of their future and were taught soft and life skills early in their lives?
About Project

Problem: What problem is this project trying to address?

Morocco is struggling with high rates of unemployment (about 10%),youth violence and bad education quality(among the worst ones in the world). It is not uncommon to see that many of our youth are lacking vision, life skills, role models and proper orientation.Moroccan schools do not teach youth life and soft skills which could help them in their teenage lives and future get appropriate jobs as adults, but focus on theoritical school topics only .

Solution: What is the proposed solution? Please be specific!

All those problems can be solved if tackled at a younger age! So our solution is to teach middle school ( as a start) soft and life skills such as:leadership, proactivity, communication, self esteem/confidence,tolerance, critical thinking, goals setting and time management, team work,EI,public speaking and problem solving. Why start with middleschool students? They represent the highest dropouts in the country and they living a critical life stage. How?Through the use of interactive educative activities revolving around: arts, sports and community service in addition to tutoring and mentoring. We want to let them know that they are WORTH something and they CAN do things they want and leave an impact on the community they're living in.
Impact: How does it Work

Example: Walk us through a specific example(s) of how this solution makes a difference; include its primary activities.

One of the activities we start with: We distribute blank papers to the participants and tell them that that is not a regular piece of paper! It's an island, THEIR island! We then ask them to draw and write down all what they wish to happen in their lives on that paper. This is a self reflective exercise,so instead of asking each one of them: what is your dream/goal? (to which they might not be open to answer) we use this creative way to help them ask: " What do I wanna do in my life?" Students then volunteer to read and explain what is on their papers, and after each shared idea, we ask "who has the same thing on their island?"others raise their hands, and that helps to create a link between the participants.

Impact: What is the impact of the work to date? Also describe the projected future impact for the coming years.

We started with a program of 6 hours that focused on basic skills ( Tolerance of others, self confidence, effective communication and active listening, time management, SMART goals, leadership) The target was:250 middle school students of different ages ( 11-18 yrs old) from the same public school in an urban area who struggled with social integration, violance and lack of motivation and role models,as a lot of them lived with unemployed or drugs addicted parents. At the end of the program we received very positive feedback from the participants(with a high retention rate) and their teachers. (After organising 3-4sessions with some students of that school,we could identify the main issues that we had to focus on,and therefore created the program upon what we collected as primary data) In the future,we are aiming to make partnerships with organization to help us reach our goals.

Spread Strategies: Moving forward, what are the main strategies for scaling impact?

Goals in 5years: Form a network of at least 5000 youth in Morocco to become proactive competent citizens and leaders in different domains. Goals in 10 years: Establish a center (building) of our own in at least two big Moroccan cities, and spread the experience to other countries (through a licence).

Financial Sustainability Plan: What is this solution’s plan to ensure financial sustainability?

-Participants are going to be required to pay a certain amount of money in order to register and attend the sessions.( in addition to a monthly fee that will help with covering the basic costs) -Also, we are planning to apply to grants and national startup incubators that offer financial support plus the use of crowdfunding platforms.

Marketplace: Who else is addressing the problem outlined here? How does the proposed project differ from these approaches?

There is one organisation which just started operating in the country that aims to teach youth leadership and other skills through the use of basketball. Our project works on the development of more skills and through the use of multiple types of activities.

Founding Story

Ali and I met at middle school,we were 12 years old and spent 3 years studying together.During those years he got addicted to drugs, developed low selfesteem and similar personal issues that led him into more problems.During highschool he got stuck in a vicious circle that led him to fail his high school baccalaureate exams two years in a row.At 3rd year,we could get in touch with each other after losing contact.I introduced him to the world of personal development and offered him to apply to different activities. He got accepted in 2 during the summer, which led him to change his perception of himself and of the society.Last year,he passed his exams and got his high school diploma!

The current team is constituted of two individuals: Zineb Beladel ( Myself) : Founder and manager, works on developping the program with the mentoring of professionals. I have been working with hundreds of students in middle and high schools. Meriem Ouizgan: an ex Art teacher at a local primary school and ex educator, she will be working part time on the project to teach art techniques. She educated many children while teaching them basics of the french language through the use of personally developed artistic methods. As the program develops more and becomes firm, more members will join the core team in order to focus on strategic management, marketing, and curriculum development.

精品国产福利在线视频Wonderful work my friend,l

I'm impressed by the idea and the work you put into this. Keep up doing great work and remember that changemaking is a journey not a destination.

精品国产福利在线视频Here is my feedback, might sound harsh but it is with good intentions.

An Elevator pitch reflects the idea that it should be possible to deliver the summary in the time span of an elevator ride, or approximately thirty seconds to two minutes. Think of if you work on a 20 story building and you are with you an investor in that elevator, how would you pitch your idea? You want to sell your idea/solution to him! The best way to do this is to start with the pain/problem. Get their attention; make them want to help by seeing how inspiring your work is.

What if:
Wonderful! It would make it more believable if you had some references to show where the data is coming from. Also think of analyzing the root cause of the problem and identifying that. Why has nobody do anything to fix this problem?
I like it, starting at younger age makes sense. Think of how are you going to implement these solution? What makes you think that the teachers will just allow you to go to school and start teaching these things? Think of a strategy to teach young people.
Great! Think of how would one enroll into this?
Wonderful! However, don’t just think numbers; think of impact. Let’s say someone fundraising goal is 1million dollars to send clothes donation to refugees. Once the person fundraises 1 million, he/she thinks they had maximum impact. But, in reality refugees don’t really need clothes as much as they would appreciate something else. Think of gathering stories, leadership projects developed by these students.
Full potential impact:
Look for a repeatable and scalable model that is simple and powerful. Once that model is developed the full impact could be reached. This is a very strategic part. Think of creating a repeatable and scalable model that is simple to replicate and there is a source of revenue to keep it sustainable. Think of a vision statement, if all goes to plan what do you achieve? What would you impact be? Set a vision that you want to accomplish and then everything that you do should be to reach that point. A cool vision statement that I like is from Oxfam: A just world without poverty. Think of something simple but also that makes you strive to achieve.
This is where you need to work more on. Finding that repeatable and scalable model is very important and you have to think creatively on how to get a revenue stream here.
Analyze the other organizations’ struggles and successes. Learn from them!
Founding Story
Wonderful, I’m inspired.
精品国产福利在线视频 The most important part of this application is the team. We believe that you need to inspire others to be part of the team, and then together with them make a difference. The team members should be all people who believe in the vision that you all design together.
